The Medical Faculty of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg annually awards the best subjects in the following three categories: "Best Preclinical Subject", "Best Clinical-Theoretical Subject" and "Best Clinical-Practical Subject".

For the first time, a cancer immunotherapy was successfully used to treat the previously incurable autoimmune disease lupus with the participation of a Magdeburg scientist.

The new winter semester 2022/23 has begun and a total of 195 medical students and 10 master's students in the immunology program have started this year's orientation.
